From the portfolio: Deutsche InfraSoft acquires GEOs3D and enters Austria

With GEOs3D from Telfs and Linz, Deutsche InfraSoft Group acquires 22 specialists in high-precision industrial and engineering surveying — and opens its first location outside Germany. The founder hands over to his son; both become shareholders of the group.

Deutsche InfraSoft Group has acquired GEOs3D Geodetic and Industrial Surveying GmbH — and is now operating outside Germany for the first time.

GEOs3D was founded in 1990 and employs 22 people at its sites in Telfs, Tyrol, and Linz. The company works where tolerances are measured in millimetres: industrial and engineering surveying, 3D laser scanning, as-built documentation and geomonitoring, captured with laser trackers, laser scanners and measuring arms. "The tighter the tolerances, the more precise the data basis has to be," says Alexander Schwab, CEO of Deutsche InfraSoft Group.

For the group, the acquisition closes a gap at the high-precision end: where large areas were previously captured and digitised, high-precision measurement of individual components is now added. For Van Houten & Co. as shareholder, it is the seventh integrated acquisition in this investment — and the first to take the group across a national border.
